Internships:

Maynord’s Recovery Center Internship Program offers a comprehensive training experience in chemical dependency and some dual diagnosis with an adult population. The training program is designed to prepare candidates through clinical experiences, instruction and supervision for transition from student to professional within the field of Addiction counseling. Interns will work closely within multidisciplinary team and learn to manage the numerous and complex issues surrounding the behavioral health treatment needs of those suffering from drug and/or alcohol addictions. The internship program will include a placement at Maynord’s Recovery Center facility. Our internship’s principal goal is to provide candidates a well-rounded experience, primarily within the domain of chemical dependency. Our program consists of training and supervised experience over a span of twelve months. Throughout the internship year, Interns will be involved in a variety of clinical services including individual and family therapy, group therapy, assessment and crisis intervention in order to provide exposure to a broad range of clinical experiences and modalities.
